News of today : Seriously? It's obvious the boy's dad was fully in control and giving his child a great experience. Our world seems to have lost its common sense.

I know what you mean, LLJ, about the traffic controller. Some reports have made it sound like the kid was giving instructions, when in reality, he was he was giving confirmations and repeating exactly what dad said. However, I can understand the knee jerk reaction from the FAA because some of the recent negligence from other air traffic controllers, one of which resulted in nine fatalities. This 'take the kid to work day' was just bad timing. Wouldn't it be cool if some airports could organize a program where one kid could spend the day in a tower and do what this kid did? It could be an incentive program for underprivileged kids or something.

Mood i am in?: During Mason's parent evening, his teacher told us that they were having to get maths and english books from the secondary school as he was too advanced for the stuff from his own class. We are now discussing inclusion in a main stream school so his education doesn't suffer. Mason has been written off all his life because of his Autism. This news makes me want to, very ungraciously, call up people and say 'Hah! See!'

The people, including me, who posted that the joke was offensive were then verbally insulted by this mans friends. I forget that not every forum has wonderful members like you lot on it. Think I made it four days before deleting my membership. Now I must bathe and get the ick off.
